This infographic was created a few years ago, however, the stats about the number of startups in the world didn't change a lot since then. We add here some updated data on the number of unicorns among startups:
The probability among all VC backed startups to become a unicorn is still at about 1%
As of January 2021, there are more than 500 unicorns around the world. Variants include a Decacorn, valued at over $10 billion, and a Hectocorn, valued at over $100 billion.
